tido.

Abstract: This article describes the paternal
role from Freud’s formulations until Lacan’s
elaboration of the father using the Borromean
knot. Introducing the names of the father on the
knot bring clinical consequences and leads to
effects on the psychoanalytical institutions as it
introduces the total no, where the real demands
its place in the structure. The author highlights
that the nomination from the pass and the name
of the father on the knot brings the real to be
transmitted beyond the proper noun.
