Abstract: The purpose of this article is to follow
the various elaborations on the theme of angst,
in the texts of Freud and Lacan, to check how,
from embarrassment, it becomes essential to the
evolution of the treatment. We intend to consider
how the study of the angst evolves from the
Freudian conception that it would present itself in
the absence of the possibility of pulsional discharge,
this is, in face of a lack, to the more contemporary
lacanian studies that show how it appears in the
absence of lack, putting at risk the ability of the
subject to build and handle his uniqueness.
